FATALII
(Capsicum Chinense)
FACTS:
The FATALII is a relative of the Habanero family and originated in the Central African Republic.  The fruit matures to a bright yellow and are long, wrinkled and tapered into point - about 2-3 inches long.  The plant produces very high yeilds, starting early and finishing late in the season.  It is not uncommon to get 2 full harvests out of the same plant in a typical growning season.

The Fatalii has a strong citrus flavor, if you can get by the heat.  Rated at 300, 000+ SHU, it definately packs a punch.  Makes great, beautifully colored, salsa's, jellies, and hot sauses.
The indoor greenhouse.  Nothing too impressive but it gets the job done.  Enclosed are the strongest plants from this summers garden.  The Fatalii is the one on the far left.  The others include: 2 Bhut Jolokia (far right), Red Savina (center right),  Big Sun Scotch Bonnett (center left), and Thai Sun, which you cannot see, stationed in the rear.

You will notice that the density of the Fatalii plant (far left) is not very thick, and I will explain why below.
As I mentioned above, The Fatalli doesn't seem to be a very thick plant.  On the contrary, these plants are very thick and grow up to 4' tall.  I had to trim this plant just to get it into the greenhouse,  measuring 4' x 8' x 4'.

You will notice in the picture above that I had cut the main stems in order to start new growth for the winter growing season.  These plants are very rugged.  They grow very well in our conditions, and even through the beatings of transplanting and heavy trimming, the seem to grow back like wild weeds.  It is no wonder that I had such a great turn out with this crop.  Out of 6 plants, I harvested close to 20lbs of peppers.

I used a pen to give people a general idea as to the actual size of the peppers.  Notice the very defined "wrinkled" shape.  You know just by looking at them, they are hotter than HELL!
